For awhile now I have been going through a dissatisfied phase. I was re-watching 'Mad Men' in a funk about design and the design world because it seemed that those around me being lauded and praised where just continuing the sameness that I saw every day and not bringing anything new to the table. Enter Don Draper. Who doesn’t love Don Draper? (Aside from the reviewers in 'The New Yorker.') Ok, his morals can be questioned, but his ability to find the perfect word at the perfect moment is unmatched. Don lifted my spirits by saying that 'One wants to be the needle in the haystack, not the haystack.' You’re right Don! I want to be the needle! I want to be me, not anyone and everyone else.
